Switch between organizations

Overview

One email address can belong to several organizations, for example when two businesses each invite you to their team. You keep one login and one password, and choose which organization you work in. Everything you see (conversations, agents, DealerX leads, billing) belongs to the organization you are working in, and your role can be different in each one.

Steps

Choose an organization when you sign in

1. Sign in with your email and password.
2. If you belong to more than one organization, the Choose an organization page lists them. Pick one and continue.

Switch without signing out

1. Click your name in the top-right corner to open the user menu.
2. Under Switch organization, click the organization you want.
3. The dashboard of that organization opens. Its name now shows at the top of the page and in the user menu.

Switch organization only appears when you belong to more than one active organization. It lists the organizations you are not working in right now, with your role in each.

Tips

• An organization is missing from the list if you were removed from its team or the organization is no longer active. Ask its administrator to invite you again.
• Pages you have open in other browser tabs keep showing the previous organization until you reload them.
• Your profile and password are shared across organizations; your role and permissions are not.
